Held on Sat & Sun 21/22 May 2005 (Tee-time 11:00am, individual stroke play) at Magnolia Golf Club.

Magnolia Golf Club offered an honorary membership for 2005 and 2006 to the marines of Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC, to show appreciation by the citizens of Duplin County for their service.

Lt. Col. C. Brandenburg, who has recently returned from Iraq and Chief Warrant Officer S. Kubik from Camp Lejeune participated as honored guests and accepted the membership certificate on behalf of their colleagues. State Representative Russell Tucker honored the crowd with a welcoming speech at the presentation of the certificate before the tournament. Also attending were Mayor Win Batten of Warsaw; Mayor Dr. C. Quinn of Magnolia; Captain T. Jones of the Sheriff's Office in Kenansville and the director of tourism of Duplin County, Rob Wells. Executive Director L. Kitchen of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce provided flags and other decorations to help honor Armed Forces Day during the tournament. Amanda Bradshaw from Warsaw graced the opening by singing "God Bless America" to the gathered company.

The course was in superb condition, and had special attention to appear at its best, including voluntary work from Potter's Wheel Ministries (Pink Hill), who are great supporters of this event. Hooters catered lunch both days with their attractive and pleasant girls charming the competitors.

The overall winner was Chief Warrant Officer Steve Kubik; closely followed by the overall seniors winner, Earl Blizzard.
