8th annual Faison Lewis North Carolina Department of Transportation (NC DOT) 3rd Division Golf Tournament 2005 in honor of the memory of Faison Law. Super Ball with 4-man teams
The
tournament is held annually held in honor of the late Mr. Faison Lewis
(1979-1997) and is the 8th such. He is remembered for the legacy of fun,
fellowship, and sporting flair, with emphasis on golf, that he left his family,
friends and admirers. The

Held on Thursday 16th June 2005 (Tee-time 11:00am, 4-man super ball) at Magnolia
Golf Club. The
tournament is held annually in honor of the late Mr. Faison Lewis
(1979-1997) and is the 8th such. He is remembered for the legacy of fun,
fellowship, and sporting flair, with emphasis on golf, that he left his family,
friends and colleagues. Bill
Stephenson
is the Division 3 Safety Officer of Wilmington NCDOT. Once again, he arranged
and managed the whole event with great flair. This is no surprise, as he is a
graduate in recreation and parks administration from NC State University who has
spent 24 years in the US Air Force and 6 years with the DOT. Fourteen
4-man teams signed up and a great time was had by the 54 players, which number
included some retirees from the DOT who nevertheless accepted the challenge. Bland's
of Warsaw catered the event after the 18 holes were finished, satisfying some
healthy appetites. And
the winners were Chastity
Clark, Joe Price, Joe Justice, John Diaz; w/62 Both
these next teams had 63 - so a scorecard review was made and considered the 6
toughest holes before declaring second place, which went to Howle
Huneycutt, Ed Edwards, Steven Gurganus, Robert Vause; w/63 and
the close-run third place went to CA
Gardner, Terry Harris, Leland Davis, Joe Blair, also with 63 Closest
to pin
prizes were won by Paul

longest drive prizes
went to Chastity

Faircloth (#11) And
of course, there was the caboose prize for those who had the most fun (!), which
went to Patrick
