Recognized by the
public for their pink ribbon logo, the " LPGA Champion Donna Andrews
proudly contributed a professional drive to each team on the 11th hole, giving a
perfect example of superb play.
North Carolina's famous radio show hosts Brian and Jim
from the Bone 93.7fm rocked the Rally for their fans to get a taste of true
Carolina country golf.
Senator Albertson, State Representative Russell
Tucker, Mayor Betty Long of Kenansville, Miss North Carolina/USA, and
others were present, as well as showing support for those dignitaries who were
unable to attend. Senator John Edwards' wife Mrs. Elizabeth Edwards
was unable to attend the event though she extended her heart-felt appreciation,
support and enthusiasm for the event.
There is a lively awareness and sympathy from those fortunate
enough not to have encountered this personal battle experienced by so many
women. It is also clear that many Americans have a one loved one who has
suffered from this devastating disease. We hope to encourage those searching for
a cure to continue their sterling work.
