Figure 1 - This map shows the area of Eastern North Carolina between the major population center at Raleigh-Durham and Wilmington aka Hollywood East. Considerable traffic flows between the two, as also flows between Fayetteville and Jacksonville (marked with red dots).

This is a larger scale showing the central location of Magnolia Golf Club between the three military bases Fort Bragg (Fayetteville), Camp LeJeune (Jacksonville) and Seymour Johnson AFB (Goldsboro). The existing and planned NC-24 use a small section of the I-40 exiting at 373 as shown. The golf course is 200 yds from the I-40 at intersection 373. The existing NC-24 passes close to Kenansville and its airport, with 4 lanes. The NC-50 remains a 2-lane country road

This large scale diagrammatic map shows the names of the counties surrounding Duplin and the various services available. NC Dept. of Commerce 2003

Yearly Estimated Population Increases show while the area of Duplin and its surrounding counties as a whole is expected to increase about 20 percent during the next  22 years, Duplin county can expect nearly twice this amount (37%). (http://demog.state.nc.us/) This is a composite aerial photograph dating from about 1993 while the I-40 was still under construction. The proximity of the golf course to exit 373 is clearly shown. The outlines indicate the extent of the golf course (135 acres) and adjacent land (61.8 acres).  The dark wooded areas mainly indicate wetland; the black areas indicate water. The golf course is flanked on two sides by the NC-903 and Tracy Brown Rd.. Brooks Quinn lane provides access to the second side of the 61.8 acres.
